Even though it makes sense that we can look on each others profiles, you may want to add your address here and any blogs or other accounts you want highlighted. This way it's in a closed environment and we all get to share.

What's your default? 7 Replies

Because my friend Matt asked me this the other night, I had to think about it. His is painting a blue sky and some clouds, then he waits to see if anything more comes. His skull for Skull Appreciation Day was just the blue sky & clouds cause…Continue

Who will you send  your first piece of mail to? I've been thinking about this a lot. Will it be someone in this group? Will it be one of the many mail artists I've exchanged MA with over the years? Will it be one of my letter writing friends, or my…Continue

Significant dates for the diary (some might say...) 41 Replies

McFloozy mentioned Quack Day in February and I had a message from Valentine Mark Hermann telling me of an anniversary in February. I figured that it would be best to put all the dates in one discussion, so anyone could contribute and we could all…Continue

It's February, which has traditionally been Alphabet month for as long as the project has been going. As I'm in Vietnam and I'm learning Vietnamese, I thought I'd look at the Vietnamese alphabet this year.

Here's my first one

It's nearly February, which usually means it's Alphabet month on 365! Who's going to be making alphabet pieces?

Yup, I'm halfway through one of Davy's pieces now. And we've seen him in person twice, in Richmond and in NYC. He's a good presenter, as well as a writer, as you know.

The most recent issue of The Sun magazine. The article is an interview with the publisher.

I'm reading something and there's a quote from an essay by Norman Fisher about Suzui Roshi a Zen teacher - " He just went on with the practice every day no matter what happened for his whole life. And in his teaching he emphasized that kind of steadiness and faithfulness...He emphasized routine and repetition. He taught that just by doing the practice, over and over again, without expectation of any result, but being as present with it, something subtle would happen." Wow, it's all about the practice. It think this is what happened for me with 365MailArt, something subtle happened. I hope it happens for you, too.

Hey Rachel - How odd! I seem to have got the first one showing again. I think that the code that my developer friend coded is having a little funny moment. I'll have another look in the morning. Has it done this before?
