"Andrea, there's a great mail artist here at IOUMA that would like to work in your book. Do you want me to send it back to you and then you can send it on to her ? Or should I just send it to her next? Let me know. :)"

Believe me, I join you as we're being dragged, kicking and screaming, into the new age.  Yes, snail mail is easier, and more meaningful, but 'putin (rhymes with Newton) is a lot faster.  Of course, speed is not the be-all end-all on every occasion, but it is helpful for things like ironing out details of our happy fun art projects (such as, Hey, Diane, am I supposed to send this to Natalie or Andrea?), or even acknowledging receipt of things.  I'm always on pins and needles wondering if something I sent got where it was supposed to.

This is a large and confusing site, I know.  I still haven't figured everything out, but by just poking around, pointing and clicking, seeing where it takes you (don't be afraid; you can't blow anything up), things eventually start making more sense.  I'd be glad to help you take some baby steps if you want.  If you don't want to bother, I understand that too, but there are some groups and projects and people here I KNOW you would really like. If you just don't want to, you don't need to read any more of this.  If you do want to give it a try, I'd start with the sending messages thing.

Be aware that there are two basic ways to communicate one-on-one.  You can comment or you can send a message.  A comment is public; a message is private.  When you make a comment to someone, it will appear on your page and on their page on what's called the comment wall, and anybody who navigates to that page can read it.  (When you send a message, only the person you're talking to will see it.)  What you've done here with "KDJ, hiya" is you've posted that on your own page.  That's fine because I'm checking your page every now and then to see if you're checking in.  However, you haven't sent that comment anywhere, so if I didn't come to your page, I wouldn't see it.  To make a comment to me from your page just click on either my picture or my name (it's underlined).  That will take you to my page.  Then just scroll down to the white box where it says comment wall, Leave a comment for KDJ, and type away.  When you're done, just scroll back to the top, click on "My Page" and it will take you back to your page.  Aw, c'mon.  Try it.  (I just noticed, you have done this before because you've commented to Diane.  Notice it says left a comment for Diane, but for mine it says you "posted a status."  That's because you put it on your own page.)

If you're still enrolled, Lesson 2 will be friending.  Doesn't that sound friendly?

Also note, you can delete any comments from your page--for example, this long thing that really doesn't matter.  To the right of the first line of each comment is a little "x" which you can click on and the comment will be deleted.  Aw, c'mon, try it!
