I was reading a big book a friend recommended my husband to buy for me for valentines day. Quite hilarious because we don't really celebrate anything much but especially not valentines day, for some…Continue

Carmela Rizzuto said… Hi Rebecca---Thanks so much for the excellent photos of the booklet and for such a complete post with all the pages and the text.
PS: We're online at the same time today!
Carina Granlund said… Rebecca, you are already back! Thank you very much for your nice words, I hope you and "the kids" will have lots of fun with boekie making / coming up with new ideas!!
Diane Keys said… Gorgeous!!! Your quilted piece arrived and I am confuzzled how you area creating these beauties. How are you able to melt all the plastic together? I tried something like that once and got nowhere. I absolutely love the texture of these and the backside with the printed velum is stunning. Only thing is I couldn't read the note you'd written to me and I so wanted to. Thank you R!!
jon foster said… Got your entry for the summer zine. Thanks so much!
De Villo Sloan said… Fleeing the country? I would if I were you, now that Dark wall has taken a stand against the British Minister of Schools:

xx jones said… Rebecca, OMG that school photo you posted is so telling.
De Villo Sloan said… Pretty in Pink? Remember that in every text is the deconstructive thread. Find the thread, pull it, and the illusion of the text will collapse like a house of cards.
Carmela Rizzuto said… I'm glad that the card arrived, but it looks like the postal service's automated machinery gouged it--oh well--Watch for another mail art work from me. It will be in an envelope this time.
Svenja Wahl said… Thank you, Rebecca, for the birthday wishes!!
taidgh said… thanks a million! I checked out your blog as usual. We had a three hundred year old tree fall a week ago. You would think it would be protected. Alas it wasn't. I've got something else planned for you. Don't worry it isn't a tree.

Carmela tells me that her beautiful organic, meandering, haptic memory has been germinating for some time. To see her poem in a book, made for 'Memories are made of this' (which will be holding a new pop-up exhibition in Suffolk in late June) visit:…

Simon Warren has been sending me copious shirt card-boards of writing - memories of Tring, trains, England, himself all in his characteristic handwriting, looping prose. I've labeled Simon's words 'experimental writing' as I tagged the posts. I have been posting this wonderful gift on my blog and…
