Amy Irwen's postcard size work features plastic mesh & textile stitching along the right edge. Dated 09.21.15. The upper corner dolphin (from Sea World, as noted on the back) jumps above the card. Although seemingly untitled & bearing the phrase "The Monster Lives" along the bottom, I refer to this work as "Dolphin Boy". "Unlock…

I had no idea this was coming. It arrived nicely packaged in a hand made wrapping, which I love. I didn't want to tear the wrapping, but trust me, the paper was sturdy, blue and white stripe. Too tempting not to recycle at some point, but for the moment I just like to look at it. The card itself was a wonderful execution of recycled cardboard, various paints (I guess possibly both acrylic and enamel) Tissue was layered on and then more paint. It's an inspiring piece. Mille grazie…

Grethe H. Bjornhaug, send me this beautiful postcard. I remember the day I found it in my mailbox. It was a gloomy, overcast day. I was so tired and all I wanted to do was sit down and not move. Grethe, please know it arrived in excellent condition. I love looking at it over and over again. Mail art will be going out to you tomorrow.
Thanks again for your wonderful card.…

Bonjour!
I play (badly) rock'n'roll guitar.
I play (slightly better) the alto recorder.
In France, the recorder is known as the 'flu(^)te à bec'. [The ^ is supposed to go over the u, but I can't seem to manage that].
There is another type of flu(^)te, a 'flu(^)te traversière'. This is a flute -- the type of flute that Wolfgang Amadeus obviously had in mind when he wrote 'The Magic Flute' opera ('obviously' because he didn't mess around with…

Actually I never thought the radioactive machine worked very well in the first place. As Marie Curie discovered, it had some leaks, and made the pasta glow. Which was cool at first, but eventually everyone got tired of eating pasta in the dark.
Earth to Marie, Earth to Marie, Thank you for this mail…
