Some mail artists add a stamp print to their mail art, saying 'Hannah Hoch Fan Club'.
Until I received these stamp prints I never had heard of this artist, who was born 1st of November 1889. She has been a collage / photomontage pioneer. She was part of the Dada movement and also became involved in the De Stijl art movement.
For anyone who has a Hannah Höch Fan Club Stamp (and interested others, I haven't one), this group can be the place to share your thoughts and mail art, tributing to and/or inspired by Hannah Höch.

As Cascadia Artpost already suggested, there are great books which show the work, and sometimes personal photos, of Hannah Höch.I thought to start this blog post so that all of you/us can share the…Continue

Hello Mother, speaking for myself, your friend (or anyone else for that matter) need not be a member of IUOMA, nor the H.H.club, to join in. As long as there is a return address on the piece, it will get a response. The more the merrier and surprises are always (at least here) welcome.
Thanks for the warm welcome! Here's my address:
Rosalie Gancie
5703 36th Avenue
Hyattsville, Maryland 20782
USA
Welcome all! Rosalie, note that this is a public group so if you prefer your address private, please e-mail us your address or write it in the mail you’ll be sending.
Hi Rosalie, welcome to the band! Can you put your post address in the fan club? Otherwise I can only send you a scan.
That's right Rosalie. You will be number seven.
I love Hannah Hoch. There's a nice book about her called Cut With the Kitchen Knife: The Weimar Photomontages of Hannah Hoch. So for this project we send 6 artworks (one to each person). And then we each have our own box to put in the works we receive? Is that right?
thanks,
Rosalie
I agree with you: better a small but happy and enthusiastic gang for Hannah's birthday than a half interested crowd! I am really excited about this mailart and will keep a constant eye on my postbox. I have to work a bit on the cards, but then I will send mine too. In the last days I came across two boxes, so I just wait and look which of these is fitting better as a birthday box.
Hello mother. I think I have the same list as you which is:
Heleen de Vaan. Netherlands.
Carmen Kennedy. USA.
Mary Anne. United Kingdom.
Cascadia Artpost. USA.
Charlotte Geister. Germany.
Mehrl Bennett. USA.
Hopefully there will be some surprise additions. Anything Hannah-ish that arrives here will go into the box and get a similar reply and I dare say the same goes for anyone else. I haven't found a suitable box yet but I am sure I will do and I plan to post a picture of it here on Ist.
We are a small but happy band so far. The end result should be fine. . . November
The dolls do look better in color! And, from what I have been reading, life for a woman artist was very, very difficult in those days and times. The more I read, the more I admire Hannah.
