Heide, thanks a lot for the instructions! I will try this technique for sure!
for Carien
I got this idea from a book called “Sharpie Art Workshop for Kids” by Kathy Barbro (Author), you need a piece of card stock, white glue, a glue stick, aluminum foil. First you draw a simple shape with the white glue on the card stock (or chip board). Let dry completely. You might have to add a second layer, as the glue has a tendency to add its own ideas (I love art supplies that get involved). I use Elmer’s craft bond because it doesn’t flatten when dry. Then rub a glue stick all over. I usually rub this in with my fingers. Immediately starting in the center, lay the foil on top and rub outwards. You might need a cotton tip stick for the smaller crevices. Wrap the foil around the edges, glue to back. At this point the book tells you to use a sharpie and color the image. Here is one I did following the instructions Now I instead pour Pebeo mixed media paints. . This is a solvent based medium, so use in a well ventilated area. It takes at least 24 hours to dry completely.
Another fantastic artwork. Can you explain a little about the technique, Heide?
Two really cool pieces!
