great envelope

Is covering a card of a bigger work. Yes mail art is fixed to smaller pieces, but that is one thing I like, cause I couldn´t afford the time for big works and yea sometimes its a matter of workspace. But what I think its a kind of lovely communication and communication comes out of small words building an sentence or a story, and keeps space to answer, to…

I am back to doing mail art(I hope)

I doubt anyone noticed, but if anyone did. I am sorry for disappearing and taking a mail art 'hiatus' out of nowhere.  I feel very bad, and for the people who were expecting something from me I will try to remember and mail stuff out.

I had to leave because of some personal/financial troubles. I won't go on because you have better things to do I assume. Like making art!

Received from Karen Champlin, Art Nation--Before Winter Sets in Again

It's always wonderful to receive mail art from the goddess of enigma, Karen Champlin. I love how she circles the letter S, stamps it everywhere and then puts CONFIDENTIAL across the photo, entrusting me with her work. Karen often includes snippets of psychology text, the kind of stuff that when I try to read, makes my brain hurt. On the back, Karen asks me if I remember snow. Who… Continue

More antique treasures - from Theresa Williams

Although this is my first envelope from her, Theresa must know my love for vintage and antique. And actually, more than an envelope, this was a very delicately wrapped present, what a fantastic thing to get in one's mail!

From Nadine Wendell

Nadine and I are both members of the Fiber Artists & Mail Art Group, and I had sent her one of the knit card series on which I've been working. At first she couldn't find me or my page on this site to discover who it was that had sent the piece. Regardless, she sent some mail art in response, but inventively, her artwork was informed by this perplexity:

I am happy to…

Godzilla vs The Trailer Park by Jim Sant Amour

Dear Jim,

did I mention that I love your theme?( I did, right?;) Thank you for your postcard! And after I have studied every single detail of the Horrorscene, I saw the "Deutsche Flugpost" stamp and my heart made a jump. Apart from loving the old planes (Doppeldecker") I could not believe it, because…

Wonderful Treasures from our Celestial Scribe

Starting with the envelope Patricio Duprat sent them in: Patricio promised me three treasures, and he included the three special items below.  But the envelope is very much a fourth treasure.  The tiny printing/writing around the edge of it just amazed me -- how is it possible someone can use a pen that small? -- and then a reading of it revealed that he had taken quotes from my…
