Marie Wintzer: Radiogram People or the paper man

I'm definitely for the Paper Man.  Come on everyone, sing along; "The Paperman, The Paperman, I am for The Paperman, The Paperman, The Paperman, who lives on Darwin Way."

Thank you Marie, if the Paper Man can, then I can.

Why I am Here (and NOT Here)...

FYI: At the risk of appearing to be a mean s.o.b. (I've been called worse, so, pfft), I am not here to piggyback umpteen little causes. I am not a college kid with ridiculous amounts of energy. I am an artist who, while trying to think as young as possible, realistically, is at the foothills of old age. I'm here to "drink beer (and) kill war" as Bukowski said so eloquently. Mainly, I am here to make great friends without pressure of any sort, to create mail art on postcards, envelopes, and…

Indestructible postcard

After my recent creative destruction of his destructive creation, Dean the inSeine has sent a metallic postcard: does he imagine that this is proof against further remodelling?

Royal Mail delivered it despite the dangerous-looking circuit board attached to the back, and the fact that it was understamped (over 100g, more than 5mm thick, should have cost £1.19, not…

Jennifer Jones: 32 or 329

Number are my thing.  The total of all the number here is 952,858 and the average is 79,405.  But that's not exciting.  Exciting is when you take the standard deviation of these numbers and it falls exactly at 186031.06.  (You guess it, the number of minutes until my next…

Suus in Mokum: Old Boys Band - Is there life on Mars?

That's right, the David Bowie Exhibition is now in Amsterdam and I hear the closing date is being extended.

This Mail Art is not about Ziggy Stardusk and the Spiders from Mars.  It's about the Old Boys Band.  It could be The Temptations, The Jackson 5, The Village People, The Fingers, or that new group, No Direction.

I'm having trouble spotting the lead…

Katerina Nikoltsou: Altered post card for Valentines Day

Yes, Ladies & Gentlemen, send from Greece without an envelope.  It can be done!  The only thing is that it took ten days to get to Paris.  But that might be the Greek strikes.  I hear that even the Greek Goats are refusing to be milked now.…

THREE NEW RICHARD C. POEMS!

During the past week Richard C. has been on a tear! He's sent me these three poems, one in an envelope and two as PC's. I think they're all brilliant, but I have to say the one with the little intestinal tract guiding the reader is my fave. But then, there's a lot to be said for "It feels like I must have cut myself talking."…

Ayse Ugur's Monotype print PC

Another really nice piece--great color and textures. There is a quote "The real  is what resists symbolization absolutely." J.L. I'm still too new to this to know all the references--who is J.L.?

Gorgeous PC Surprise from Peta Johnston

Peta sent me this lovely card. The different shades of purple and blue paint over the text are very effective, almost like the text is submerged under water. Then the white dashes and circle are something really thick and shiny and they all look like they're rushing somewhere. I love this.…
