After my recent creative destruction of his destructive creation, Dean the inSeine has sent a metallic postcard: does he imagine that this is proof against further remodelling?

Royal Mail delivered it despite the dangerous-looking circuit board attached to the back, and the fact that it was understamped (over 100g, more than 5mm thick, should have cost £1.19, not 54p)

And WOW, this was your first blog.  I'm honoured.

Maybe you didn't have to pay extra postage because they thought it was a Valentines card and wanted to give you a break.  "Break", get it?  Hee Hee, sometimes I'm so funny I fall down.

It was an external hard drive.  The hard drive itself has just arrived in Canada.

Yes, that's the other side. Very pink. Apart from the blue capacitor — only 2200pF, not enough to hold much of a jolt! What was it, the back of a radio or something?

Ah, I see Alan is a little shy of the front side.  This is the funny part as Alan will find a way of taking it all apart and put it back together again.  And yes, he will include a saw to make it more of a challenge. Now could there still be electricity somewhere in that circuit board?

Thanks for the blog, we all wait with bated breath.

PS: Dare to break the postal rules.  And of course you would be refunded for any surcharges.  It did happen to Mail Art Martha once.

Yes, Dean sends his mail from Britain to save postage while making us spend £££ on mail to France.

The "2nd" means second class domestic letter mail rate (54 pence). This item was actually too heavy and too thick to qualify but they didn't make me pay extra! Maybe because it had been wrapped in a plastic 'ambulance bag' with an apology for the damage even though it wasn't damaged. It just looks that way.

Wait one moment , please...

it was sent to the UK...from the UK???

(Maybe InSeine thought that the "2" with Her Royal Highness meant "2 Brit pds"?
