All Things Trashpo

This is a place to explore all things trashpo (Trash Poetry)and found objects.  Trashpo is 1) economical 2) environmentally responsible and 3) challenging. It's a great way to repurpose all the trash that our planet is buried in!See More

Victorian DaDa

DeVillo Sloan inspired me to start this group, and I'd like help defining it, and would love to see other examples besides my own. This group is dedicated to mail art, perhaps with a time period theme (Pre-Raphaelite, Flapper, Byzantine, Edwardian, even modern day) of an elegant nature spiked with a Dada / Surreal twist. Elements can be added as creatively as the artist would like.... Or taken out. Nature is prevalent due to the Romantic floral effect and poetry (often cut & paste) is…See More

I saw your comment about the nature add and pass books and it seems to be you are probably correct excepting for the 'never knowing who the other contributors will be' bit; It seems to me that there are just the few 'usual suspects' who bother to join in so even if you don't KNOW who, you could probably have a good guess?. I like random;  I seek out random but it is always hit and miss. I have never had much luck with such things myself, always feel slightly intimidated, and never seem to see any worthwhile results except on other people's posts . . .

Thoughtful suprises

Debra Mulnick's mail art always brings me such joy. Besides the wonderful cut and paste collage she also sewed on to it an actual watch band she found. the flip side had a mini envelope with a letter enclosed. All ther safely sandwhiched into plastic sewn shut. It has depth and texture and is totally esthetic. Best of all is the thought and care Debra invests in the mail art she sends. Debra.... I luv, luv,luv it to boys. Thank you.

Thank you charlotte
