"If trashpo has taught me anything its that every windblown street corner and cyclone fence is a veritable Dick Blick of free art materials."

The ass tattoos were more of an initiation rite to prove commitment to Dkult and not really for visual entertainment. Dkult has never been above using sexuality to sell product (see early newsletters featuring KDJs exploits) and Dkollectibles advertises in seedy magazines.. I think it is fine as long it doesnt deflect from the main focus --the trash. Babies, animals, and nude FFA are scene stealers. You need a trashpo gstring at least

Trashporn?  hmmm Dkult has never ventured into the adult entertainment arena.  unbleached? i will refrain from speculating on what part of the body this might refer to....

Our good friend with many names, here usually known as Fake Fine Art, was kind enough to post a piece I sent her recently on her Tumblr. As I had not documented the piece before shipping it,I was happy to steal her picture. And, since I really only dabble in Trashpo once in a while, and this piece was certainly meant to be Trashy, I thought I would show it off here. It is made from a box, but not cereal, and the two old slides on the piece were both plucked directly from my studio trash can!

We have Trashpo. We have Trashfoes. It is the inevitable result of global domination. Jesus Jim foretold all.

Trashpo has now been superceded by HIPPOO!

EDMUND AND THE SUBTLE SCHOOL OF HIPPO CEREAL OBSEQUIOSNESS

April 31, 2014 - Edmund is a talented, energetic Hippo mail-artist currently making a big splash in the puddles of Hamburg. He lends credence to the nearly indisputable evidence accumulating over the past three years that Hippos have become a vital element in the international mail-art world inspiring innovative work from their 'minders'. Edmund, while highly original in his own right, is doing work in the same aesthetic realm as Kunsthound Domingo, Bianca, Trouble, the Senator, and all the wild-life that Erni sees on his daily travels, that we at The 'Edmund for King' Art Foundation, have identified as the "Hamburg School of  Nonsense, Bullshit & Frogshit". (Screenshot)

Edmund is, however, less over-worked than his counterparts, and more inclined to have a long siesta after lunch when he is asked to do something -- anything -- with Erni's found materials and post-Akademie strategies. The fantastic work  he is currently involved in is an ingeniously altered cereal box, big enough for him to get his paws in. The panels can be folded to create different variations on the contents, so there is an interactive element between Edmund and his Corn-flakes -- or to put that in plain, simple and non-pretentious English, he opens the box & eats the Corn-flakes. Cerealism, the use of cereal boxes in mail-art, can be traced back to Mr Kellog Corn-Flake, and, of course, Cerealism is also considered a form of  Hippo po (and/or Hippo-poo). We in the Off Scene Akademie Hamburg are thrilled to share this wonderful hippo-info with you and give Edmund a chance for you all (even our one-time follower in Hagen) to share his genius in the Akademie's Archives and Gallery.

Identifying the source of Edmund's love of Corn-Flakes (for example it does bear a resemblance to his former infatuation with Coco Pops) is problematic but hardly necessary. On the cereal packet is an asemic, cryptic quality. Edmund has subtly, but distinctively, overlaid this in the main body of his work to produce a visual-verbal construct, a complex integration of color, image, text, milk, sugar -- as well as the occasional dollop of honey when he has been good -- and indecipherable symbols that work together with, in our estimation, pleasing results without the jarring qualities one finds in the anti-art strain of Hippo-po (and/or Hippo-poo). His work is highlighted by the abundance of sticky paw marks that can be found on the cereal box.
