To me not being a native English speaker i find Dyslexic easier than traditional English. The difference between Dyslexic and Marthian is that the first is a phonetic interpretation of English and has its rules. Marthian is a transposition of letters without any rhyme or reason, no rules, utter chaotic. I think it is born of insisting in typing with all my fingers but  refusing to learn properly so the digits go happily their own way. Difficult to control them but possible. I have a friend, Benedict Hislam, mail artist and dyslexic who makes of it a virtue and writes stories in Dyslexic, I love them. I will try to find one.

Dan you are right Thom is probably having a mail art sabbatical. I am in the same situation having lost all my strength due to a nasty throat virus. Hope your advwenture in the chair is painless. Good Luck!

Thanks WAR for the timeline.

Otherwise, "Last Tango in Elgin"?

lol Dan---glad you can read her writing. Sometimes she can't even read her own writing. Thank God for typing and other tools for those with learning differences. they are a gift!  thanks for posting.  I would never be able to have unopened mail sitting anywhere!! I do like to wait til the right time to open mail to build up suspense and have time to really look at it in depth.  He probably knows that I send ghosts in every mailing!!

And here are those other treasures. I think these are meant to become collabs, which means I am in happyland. Love to collab.

PS, DK: Robin is doing fine...thanks for asking...except he still has a small pile of unopened M.A.--including yours--on a table in his studio. I keep prodding...but I think he finds it frightening. LOL!

Among some other treasures, my recent arrival from Elgin included these lovely bits of poetic non-trash: some tickets redeemable at the DKult commissary where, apparently, DK's daughter is operating a Tang Stand. I not only have tickets for Tang, but a comp from the Princezz of Tang herself!

DK thought it necessary to decipher her daughter's messages for me, but having raised a dyslexic son to a very successful 48 years of age, I know this alphabet better even than the Marthian that gets auto-typed whenever I write on the iPad instead of a real keyboard.

Martha, perhaps Thom is like me...only able to get to mail-art duties every once in a while. On the other hamd, I know I have had mail art land in the great abyss of lost mail. It just might be your packet to Thom was re-routed to postal Hell befause the postal service could not understand the address written in the Marthian alphabet.

Speaking of getting behind schedule...I have a small stack of incoming goodies to attend to, perhaps this mlorning before runningoff to have my jaw bne excavated for a tooth implant. My small stack of goodies has return addresses from noteaboe mail-art centers in Santa Fe and Elgin!

I just sent him a message. There is no recent activity on his page. I hope he is well. Does anybody know anything?

Comment by Mail Art Martha on July 15, 2014 at 12:54pm

My mail is not being returned but it does not arrive it seems. The Austrian mail must have been lack of postage by the hotel but I sent Thom Courcelle a packet from uK and that should have arrived. It went before my postings to Dan and to DK.  But I haven't heard from him or seen him here at all. May be he is  not well? I will send him a personal message.

Molly--the nicest, sweetest woman on the planet, had a bad day once because she said 'they' were popping her brain cells.

I do like the timeline! There has been an issue with mail sent to TJ being returned. There is some definate interference with our communication to the Messiah. So who comes first--Schwitters? of Bob R?

Ahhh! i get it too now, thanks WA Rodgers for the graphic representation. This site is too intellectual for my poor little grey cells. Back to the pills.
