Trugarez, Ti Ar Raden (house of ferns?). I've just bought a house in Brittany (Plouhinec), but I don't think that any cats come and visit the gar den. For National Cat Day, you'll have to send a card to everyone who participates in it -- so far we have, including you and me, 6 people -- but I'll try and get more involved. Of course you'll find time...after all it's for cats, and we always have time for cats. Kenavo/Au revoir, Val

Trés joli petit chat! Do you and your cat want to join in the IUOMA National Cat Day Mail Art exchange on 12 November? Miaou, Val, Bianca & Trouble -- all of whom want to know 'Where is Naoned?'

We now have 5 Cat day confirmed participants ( plus Cheryl who is 'on the road' and Maria F, who will join in) and that is good. But COME ON the rest of you -- there's about 12 other Cat People who haven't responded yet, and to whom I send a long and plaintive 'Miiiiaou' which means...come on! Regards, Val

Hi Snooky, The list shouldn't be that long, as it only inclydes those Cat Group members who want to participate; We have 18 members, so that's the maximum. Keep your mail art relatively simple and/or photocopy it, and things should eb OK. If you only do one a day between now and 12 November, you'll have 14 pieces. Tell your paws: get to it y'all! Regards, Val

Bonsoir!
National Cat Day is tomorrow, October 29 -- which is too late to do what I want to do.
BUT I have been authorised (by myself) to launch an IUOMA National Cat Day 2 weeks later, ie on Friday 12 November. What I propose is that on the 12th we each send to every member of the Cat Group who wants to participate a Cat Mail Art piece (perhaps a limited edition one?). Let me know if you think this is a good idea, and, if it is, if you want to participate. And if you have any different/better/alternative ideas to celebrate this important day in a suitable manner, please let me know -- especially if you can think of a special theme for it.
Thanks and regards.
Val
PS Snooky can of course join in, too, as he is an Honorary

Is there such a saying? Well, I found it on the internet, and as I don't know any Russian at all, I asseumed that it was 'kosher'. I also found lots of Russian sayings about cats, too. And I'm now reading a detective book set in st petersburg in 1917 -- quite good (but no cats). Regards
