Just a general not to all and sundry.

You know, this is the most challenging and fun thing for me to keep up with. I can't see myself doing it any other way.

My mojo struggled at the beginning. In fact, I feel a bit lame about some of the stuff I sent people. But today, I feel as tho' a lightbulb had gone on. Guess I hadn't thought of myself as being at all creatively blocked, but I may have been in a few ways Id never really thought about.

It's so interesting finding this out about myself when I least expected it. I'm kind of surprised at myself.

Your 3 in the mail by 1 tomorrow! (Thursday)

We used to have an Epson printer. They are to be used with frequency or they seize up, quit printing. Just a cheap ploy on the manufacturer's part for the sale of more ink.

Today's Epson All in One is so-o-o-o far superior to that old model! We really like it except for the color deal. It beats having no working model at all!

;)

3 for 3 is perfect for me. :D  I'll send you some in tomorrow's mail.

All-in-One's do often suffer from the 'I do everything but nothing well' syndrome sometimes.  My Mom has an Epson All-inOne, though, and Epsons generally give the best resolution and color printing of all the consumer inkjets out there. They (the printers) aren't expensive but the INK IS EXPENSIVE AS CHANEL no. 5 perfume! That's why I invested in a color laser printer.  I had to produce high-end quality at the least expense and that was my (sort of) happy compromise.  It costs more to get the color laser's going but they give you so many more high (and consistent) quality prints that it ends up being economical - if you're doing it for pay, especially.  The really high-end inkjet printers (the giclée printers for example), give you amazing results but I was never able to afford one.  When I had to do that level of prints, I'd just run them at a commercial print house.

Carla, you're sweet! thanks so much for the tips surrounding the use of inkjets. My own personal model came with the office computer, our "War Horse" for the group blog I monitor and update. It has a good scanner, but the print jobs it gives are not so good. My last IUOMA blog is on this topic, interestingly. Having such an "All In One" has its drawbacks. But printing resolution seems a difficult one for even those most worthy to judge. Ah, well.....

A trade!!! Right on!!! I'll message you our Studio's address right away!!!! :) i'm waiting for a layer to dry on my last one for Karen Champlin as of this writing. Just finished a spring themed packet of goodies for Marguerite, but out  of stamps!!!! Yikes!

Guess I could finish a couple more ATC originals for you. Karen likes her 3 for 3. Are you on?

;)

Oh, BTW, I am assuming that if someone posts in here, they want to receive ATCs... am I right?  I'm just working through the group till I send some to everyone. ;)

Yes!  I used inkjets before I had the laser printer.  You just have to make sure the self-stick paper you buy is suitable for inkjets.  The inks work quite differently so that's important.  I made tons of artistamps on my inkjet and you can too. ;)  Any inkjet will work to a point but some don't survive sunlight as well as others.  Still, they will last a while, no matter which inkjet you use.

BTW, I've sent my first three ATC Rebels envies out today - to Angie, David Stafford, and Arty Em!  More going out in the next few days.

Ah! to have our own laser printer here! In our community, we have 4 inkjets locally.

*sigh*

Is there a way to get a similar result using any inkjet?

Yep.  One of the good things left over from when I was making my living from graphic arts and photography. ;)

Ah, Prosthet, you were the lucky one! ;)

Adamandia - I make stickers using self-stick paper in my color laser printer... some are translucent, some are opaque.  In this case, I'll make them opaque.  I send self-stick artistamps to everyone I correspond with and, in this case, when I make stickers from someone else's artwork, I usually only send them to the one who made the art and keep some for myself to use (with their permission).

Love the stamp logo also David - and Samuel, those Che Guevara ATCs are wonderful.
