On Sunday I discovered TWO awesome mail art pieces hiding among the junk mail on my front porch.  I have no idea if they both came on Saturday or if they arrived separately and were there for longer, but they made me so happy, thank you Marni!  The first one is postmarked 04 SEP 2014:

The envelope is made out of a magazine page with added tiny little black paper…

I was and I am very lazy blogger and I'm very sorry to all of you if your art isn't shared there.

Bifidus has not been around for ages and I miss him, so I begged him to send me something. He very kindly granted my wish. I've been wondering where he could possibly have gone, and I hope this is not him sending me the answer from purgatory! So I would like to see this piece as a reference to Dante's Purgatorio instead, with Bifidus finding himself somewhere…

This is my first mail from Alicia, a wonderful surprise. The flower on the envelope seems to have lost a few of its fragile petals. I always like when things don't arrive exactly the way they left, bearing the marks of a long trip, or "travel wrinkles".…
