A few Weeks ago Cheryl blogged this gallery of Monas featuring several of the works she received for her mail-art call, a masterpiece like only RCBz can do them. I remember commenting on her blog saying that I wouldn't be surprised if the tiny postcards on the rack by the museum shop were also made with Monas that Cheryl received, made microscopic by RCBz's hand.
And... what do I receive the other day? A card from the rack!! :-)) How great is that?
So that's where my Mona ended up!! I just love this card. The hijacked painting looks very familiar but I can't track it down right now. Anyone knows? In any case, I think my ridiculous Mona at the hairdresser looks much better in her new environment than in the public venue where she was stolen. RCBz, you're the master, I love it, thank you!
Comment
RCBz raises an interesting point about the problems of selling well-known artwork that has been stolen.
Related to this, I read a (reputable) article about the fact that the amount of fakes held in museums is fairly astounding and a subject the museums and curators are not much interested in discussing.
Vizma :-)) funny how things were the same back in the days!!
Hairdresser, model scout, I was kind of there! The girl leaving the scene that got rejected really needs to toughen up if she wants to continue modelling.
It looks a lot like a Nicolas Poussin but I´m not sure
Oh you girls! I'm in very fine company too!!! ;-))
Oh so he's the hairdresser!? :-))))) Vizma you crack me up
No, but I'm glad the girl standing in line is next to see the hairdresser, that half blonde top/ half black base DO is SO 12th Century.
Isn't it fab! Great work. So the photo in the middle, I hijacked from your blog and added the white arrow just to show people which rack he was talking about. His card is actually the last photo at the bottom. Any idea which painting that is?
A card from the rack :-))) - that is SO FAB! Is the second image also from RCBz? He's excelling at this! :-) XX
