Nadine and I are both members of the Fiber Artists & Mail Art Group, and I had sent her one of the knit card series on which I've been working. At first she couldn't find me or my page on this site to discover who it was that had sent the piece. Regardless, she sent some mail art in response, but inventively, her artwork was informed by this perplexity:

Lesley sent me some mail art that incorporated some native phrases I shared with her from the Algonquian language--the native tribes that my family is affiliated with back east (New England, United States). WOW...I can't tell you how touching this is to me paired up with your AMAZING portrait studies, Lesley! THANK YOU!!…

Dear Jim,
did I mention that I love your theme?( I did, right?;) Thank you for your postcard! And after I have studied every single detail of the Horrorscene, I saw the "Deutsche Flugpost" stamp and my heart made a jump. Apart from loving the old planes (Doppeldecker") I could not believe it, because…

Starting with the envelope Patricio Duprat sent them in: Patricio promised me three treasures, and he included the three special items below. But the envelope is very much a fourth treasure. The tiny printing/writing around the edge of it just amazed me -- how is it possible someone can use a pen that small? -- and then a reading of it revealed that he had taken quotes from…

I've been unproductive in mail art lately due to my air conditioning breaking down and needing replacement when the outdoor temperatures were 105 (which it still is, but now I have a new AC system), and later due to working on finishing up a baby quilt. My apologies to those I owe mail to, and I somehow am not feeling like I'm being very creative with my ideas right now. But regardless of that, working on the theme of tamales, which I sent out a couple of weeks ago, couldn't resist…

From Katerina Nicoltsou and Georgia Grigoriadou
I KNOW these two are enjoying sun and sand - aside from telling us so - their work LOOKS like it! This is one lady on IUOMA that I KNOW heart matters to. MomKat is supportive of everyone, sends out work like a MACHINE and collaboratives with a giving spirit ALL THE TIME!! The heart is an asemic matter too for sure - we unconsciously write on it and into it ALL the time. A tablet of living flesh. Thats what this looks like.…
