Received from Marie Wintzer, Japan--It Became Clear That

It became clear that Marie is a genius at putting together lovely works of mail art with found objects. From the pages of mathematics, the film strip, the thread, and paper clip, to the staples and asemic writing in foggy white, this piece is flying high.…

Powerful ink images from Guido

Wow Guido, these are amazing! A whole booklet of your tribal ink drawings and asemic symbols, I absolutely love them. The starkness of the black on cream board adds to the intensity of the work. I am very very happy to have these! Thankyou.…

Leafiness from Nadine Wendell

Nadine is also printing stuff, lots of leaves in autumn colours. Great prints thankyou Nadine, and i like the happy smiling face on the back - even though you like smiling more than making art, I try to do both together!

Transgressing the Page from Cheryl Penn

Well Cheryl paid no attention to our pleadings and promptly dismembered her Transgressing the Pages book, I received a piece of it today and MAN it's great! Luckily there is a photo of the original book so we can see where it all came from, and an explanatory note, with my comment from the IUOMA site asking how she could bear to break this up! I wonder what it's next form will take, maybe we will have to send it all back to her for rejuvenating some time so that it can reappear as something…

Journey of my Soul from Karin Greenwood

The picture doesn't do this justice - it is black, not grey. Another of Karin's ethereal people in front of a window - she calls it "The journey of my soul through the windows of my life".... Sparkly spirals bring it to life. Great thanks Karin!

Ready Made Waste From Erni Bar-Trashpo King

Received this great package from Erni. I will have to post the original packaging in a separate blog as Ning is being picky and won't let me post additional photos. The shampoo bottle has great smelling air from hamburg in it. I am honored to have some German Garbage from the Erni Bar Fan Club.  The CD of Fun Manchu may very well be complete trash as Erni says, but when I tried to play it I received an error message which I found to be quite poetic.  I got TWO large collages from…

I don't know Jon Foster ...

... but after "raising my hand," I found this in my mailbox,

and I love it! This has to be from the Lexington series others are raving about, and its depth and moody word + number play make it a fine work of art that I feel lucky to have received. Somewhere on the site Jon mentioned that he is back and asked if there is anyone new who has never gotten mail-art from him.…

Gentle push from Judith Heartsong

How did she know I need this? "Get yourself outside" and wonderful old doors that remind me of the happiest days of childhood, spent at my grandparents' house in upstate New York. Literally, a breath of fresh air for the mind. I don't get out enough now and think that Judith must be psychic.…
