Received from Marie Wintzer, Japan--It Became Clear That

It became clear that Marie is a genius at putting together lovely works of mail art with found objects. From the pages of mathematics, the film strip, the thread, and paper clip, to the staples and asemic writing in foggy white, this piece is flying high. Looking closely at the negatives, I can see people dancing or at least embracing, always a beautiful thing. In fact, there is almost a melody to this piece, a lilt, a bit of a jig at the end. Arigato, Marie. Your mail art is always some kind of otherworldly waltz and I love it.

Thank you Bifidus for such a great blog. And your photos are fantastic, you found a way to see through the negatives! Cheryl, the telegram is a piece of the czech "mother died yesterday, be strong" telegram, yes. And the negatives are borrowed from my dad without his consent :-)) They have been in a cupboard for 30 years, it was time to give them a new life. I think it was was a family party. If you see a kid somewhere it was me.

Thanks everyone!!

Now we have "artistic symphony" and "otherworldly waltz" to describe Marie's work, and they are both fitting. Beautiful piece and post.

I agree with Bifidus: there is a "melody" in Marie's art...you just have to open mail from her...and listen: "an unworldly waltz"! I love it, too! Beautiful Marie! Thank you, Bifidus. Must be enchanting to have and "feel"! 'Tis very haptic...and ,well, "tis very, very!

Amazing work from Marie - aka Cherry Blossom mail-art secret agent, international chick of mystery and scientific genius. Cheryl this could very well be an artifact of The Prague Affair. Could it be microfilm with important secrets? A piece exuding mystery!
