Ready Made Waste From Erni Bar-Trashpo King

Received this great package from Erni. I will have to post the original packaging in a separate blog as Ning is being picky and won't let me post additional photos. The shampoo bottle has great smelling air from hamburg in it. I am honored to have some German Garbage from the Erni Bar Fan Club.  The CD of Fun Manchu may very well be complete trash as Erni says, but when I tried to play it I received an error message which I found to be quite poetic.  I got TWO large collages from Erni and notice he used the photo of a particular model that he likes. I'm glad to see the Off Scene Akademie is thriving and still rallying for the passage of the Pedestrian Speech Act. Walkers deserve a voice in today's society. Thank you Erni for this great and thought provoking package. The 'boobs' piece shows how you don't take everything too seriously even though garbage and trashpo are a serious matter!!!!!

I swear they make everything out of hemp--even hemp diapers for the granola crowd. I've received a lot of mail art food:  pasta from Lisa, Chocolate from Angie, slice of American Cheese from Angie, various wonderful food from Erni-candy, licorice, cookies, i think that's it. will have to read this chocolate blog of DeVious'

I wondered about that hemp. How is it in a candy bar? I hope it isn't like rope and you have to eat around it. There are more questions, but I'll get answers by reading De Villo's blog, thanks for that link, De V. It will be a fun project late at night when I'm wishing the day wouldn't be over.

There are several buddhas in our house (husband is Tibetan Buddhist), so I do worry about getting to have any of the candy at all myself. Of course, the candy is not here yet and may never be here, so this worry is way ahead of its time.

Nancy, Erni's Fan Mail packages are always great--particularly the edible ones. But he made me feed my candy to Buddha.  He finds these super healthy things made out of hemp and stuff.

In fact, Erni's chocolate has inspired TWO performance pieces I know about. There might be even more. Grigori Antonin ate Erni's chocolate and then documented the performance on his blog. First performance by GA I know about too.

Erni, your chocolate bar mail-art is still there. That one was much fun indeed

In advance I accept wholeheartedly. It would be a brand new experience, if that helps keep me on the recipient list. I mean this is a shameless plea but at least it's honest, eh?

Wow, high class, who knew? I can't wait to see what you sent me, Erni. It seems pretty clear around here that you are unpredictable and people can't have any idea what will be there when they open something from you. I look forward to that surprising moment, and if you don't care if I eat the thing, so much the better. It won't be thrown away, though. Nothing gets thrown away around here, except the stuff that has to be, and even that tends to be thrown away late. Is it chocolate?

Absolutely, there are moments of doubt. I lived most of my life with no doubt about the purpose and significance of art; I just assumed it; it was like breathing. Then, five years ago, a huge doubt set in and did not let up until a couple of months before IUOMA showed up on the screen. The doubt was more emotional than intellectual, in retrospect, and it caused great pain. It is also gone.

Diane, your wanting to break through those individual bubbles and forge connections is right on. And you do it! I have deep respect for that no matter how much you make me laugh. :--)

Nancy & DK, those are tremendous statements and make me feel like we are doing something important. I guess everyone has moments of doubt about whether or not they are doing the right thing. I wish those statements could go somewhere because they explain everything. Thanks!
