Received today!

I just recently found out about mail art and I am already receiving art in the mail from y'all! Got these two pieces today. One from Richard that is a xerox of the person who invented xerox which I really enjoy and wonder what he would think of this! I also got a piece from M.I. Stephens which I enjoy too! Since these are my first two I will probably be hanging these up in by my desk! Thank you two so much and I will be mailing you both something back real soon! I hope I am doing this all right…See More

Hello!!

Hello y'all! My name is Justin and have come across "mail art" by visiting The Art Institute of Chicago recently. I have become increasingly interested in the whole idea. It got me thinking though, I have a side project called "Left and Found". Its a mini zine I make with others submitted photography projects and then I distribute them in public places for strangers to find. I have been taking it a little bit more seriously recently and I have posted on the zines instagram page for people to…See More

XEROX ART=COPY ART

When the first xerox was invented they could not have known that this was the beginning of a revolution in the arts.it is still the cheapest & most democratic form of printing. the free press self published zines broadsides experimental poetry bands & mail artists would all benefit from this clever & useful little machine without it todays artistic landscape would look very different . now flash forward 50+ years into the 21st century how many artists are still exploring playing…See More

Bonjour Justin!

Thanks for your 'Talented Boring Postcard Creation' of a house, and fence.

It is, indeed, boring, and you are, no doubt, talented.

BUT, I can't post it on the Boring Postcard Group site because the rules of the Group stupulate that the Postcards must be commercially sold ones, and in the condition that they were sold, ie with no alterations, additions, etc.

if this was not the case then the Group would be drowned with self-made IUOMA Postcards many (most?) of which are Boring.

I hope you understand, and, assuming you do, urge you to now go and find an unadluterated, commercially sold Boring postcard...and send it to me for my forthcoming Boring Postcard exhibition in France later this year.

Thanks again and regard, Val
