This is no April Fool's Day joke: postman delivered huge stack of mail art at noon. today,
of course, the last delivery was more than 2 weeks ago...so it "piled up" somewhere?
Many mail art goodies came from across the Big Pond: x15 from the USA!
and some 12 in envelopes arrived from Europe:
and 4 postcards, too:
ONE is a very very rare and unusual large collage card :
it arrived from The Artist in Seine, sent from South Africa:
postmarked "18 April 2023:...2023!!!
and Dean made it on " 17.4. 2023, WOW!
it took just about a year but it did arrive in Athens :-)
Patience, patience with mail art...it all arrives one day for sure!
Many thanks to all who sent, I shall be blogging soon,
and one might be my #5500th blog even, wow!
Comment
WOW to have Dean's card arrive from South Africa a year late ...on April 1st!
WOW to have 30 cards to see, as the postman only delivers once or so a month...
WOW to have blogged 5500 mail art items since 2010..
yep, WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
thanks for all the nice comments :-)
WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WOW, congratulations on the 5500th blog! Yes, nearly a year to arrive. I remember posting it at the airport post office as it needed extra stamps. And Zack is correct, that would be an Amazing trick to have an "in" with the South African postal service and time exactly that this card would arrive exactly on 1 April. An amazing story, and I would happily take credit for it. ha ha :)
I like the Leap year cards you received. I didn't think about that one.
Thanks again for all your blogs
congratulations on the blog! that is wild about Dean's card taking a year to arrive!
or is this some kind of April Fools' thing...? (wouldn't put it past Artist in Seine)
