Mail art from Peg McCaskey

A wonderful package from Peg today. A couple of ATC tri-jams for me to take part in. A nice little haul of american quarters to add to my state quarter collection map folder I just need to unstick them from the paper to add them to the folder and to mark them from my list in my profile, lol. Also a nice handmade card with a matching atc for my collection.

I do love getting fun things in the mail, it really does make me happy.…

Saving the US Postal System

I may be violating a IUOMA policy here but I think it's important for people to realize that the forces of darkness are once again trying to privatize our Postal System, widely regarded as one of America's proudest achievements for a wide variety of reasons.

Check out this paper from In The Public Interest and then consider writing a letter to these…

Prosthetic Faces For A Forest of Freedom: Wait, What?

Whether standing on one foot or hopping sideways on a tightrope drawn taut between any two second story window. Riding side saddle on a sea star horse head on any planet asteroid or space debris object. Still I will make a mail artist out of you. I will do this, that and then I will snake a veiled smart ass doubt the dew as well; all this and then, walls. Tape. Fences borders more and more walls. Green walls purple walls walls of squishy slimy balls enthralled walls but still,… Continue

A slow parrot

This great envelope from Katerina took a very long time to get here due to the pandemic. For a while the Greek post office was not accepting any items to send to the USA (although I could send to Greece). It hasn't been exactly speedy since resuming, either. This colorful envelope was postmarked in May, and arrived in July.

Landscape Beautification Project

For a long time, I've been altering vintage postcards, usually fairly boring ones, with the addition of a piece of art. I have a lot of fun finding just the right piece, with the right angle, to set into the landscape. This is one I did last fall. I'd popped it into a storage drawer, forgot about it, and am now sending it out. Finally, in 2020.    Can you spot the addition? …

Incoming: One of my Add & Passes

I started these in March? They’re oversized index cards that have random notes on them from about 18 years ago from some course my future ex-husband took on Transcendentalism. I still have a decent stack so I’ll probably make more stuff out of them in the future.

Thank you to my friend Chris Cossu (@wegozoom on IG), Fleur Helsingor, and Melissa Wand.…

Incoming: Olena Mail!

I love when Olena Spicer’s mail ends up in my box.

I’m lucky enough to have a friendship with Olena outside of IUOMA, as Olena and I “met” in an art journal group and regularly zoom call with each other. She makes some of the coolest things. …
