Our Own David Stafford: The Sane Choice?

You be the judge: The answer is in the eyes, isn't it? They are either very sane or very not sane; no in-between. And yes, this is for real. After he sent it, I asked David several times if this is really him in a campaign poster from the '70s. And several times he said yes. I ended up believing him because at very first sight the eyes looked familiar--yes, they're the same eyes…

Asemic Trashpo from Pretty Lily

Received this great card from Pretty Lily that included these great environmental stamps. She joins the ranks of Katerina in combining asemics and trashpo-not an easy thing to do I don't think. It's haptic too now that I think about it as the tape is raised up. Thank you… Continue

More Philosophy from Richard Canard

My favorite one is "Mail art is an endeavor that leads you down the garden path to the top of the garbage dump"  Richard always keeps it real. I wish these could be turned into fortune cookies for mail artists. He is so funny and I hope he doesn't stop mailing me these philosophical… Continue

Received from Nancy Bell Scott, USA--Big Foot Sighting in Norway

Nancy has sent me some mail art providing evidence of Big Foot in Norway, more specifically in Oslo in the Trashpo neighborhood--too bad the map spelled it wrong. May I dare hope Big Foot is considering mail art in the vein of trashpo too? I am also lucky enough to receive one of Nancy's IUOMA bumper stickers--gonna put it on my wheel barrow and wheel it down the…

Kanji Puffs ga oishi desu ne - from David Stafford (looking suspiciously like the Kanji Fairy)

You might remember Kanji Puffs. One of the girls on Angie's blog had to get several of them excised from her throat I think (the girl's throat, not Angie's). But no worries, it's a minor surgery and absolutely routine. Today we learn a bit more about those wondrous little things filled with wholesome goodness.

Bulk Blog for Beauties Two

Narratives. They carry their own beauty and sing  their own meaning. And each artist has their own rhythm.

Lesley Magwood Fraser tells the tale of Cailleach, the stranger that hides within.   She’s that girl that was, now she is the wise crone wearing a suit of wrinkled skin.

Her joy? To ride in winter on the backs of creatures - the blue faced daughter…
