Viewing the first stamp i thought it might be from Erni, our Haptic Werewolf,
but then below was Grigori's stap and a Minnesota stamp by the postage.
The inside of the envelope has a great "Homage to Erni", which I like very much!!…

Mail art from my old friend, Snappy. His stuff is bold and sassy and never fails to astonish. Snappy's work comes in a clear envelope on which he slaps some excellent artist stamps creating wonderful, visual layers. Thanks, my friend!…

Mail-art by IUOMA member Sue Bowen (Prettylilly) (Norfolk, Virginia, USA)
June 23, 2011 - Sue Bowen is an excellent mail-art friend. We've had a little brand confusion lately because she has also chosen the name Prettylilly.…

In Maastricht Anna Banana handed me a research form which she asked me to fill in. She gave me an extra form to digitize and to ask people to print it and fill it out to to return to her. The more responses, the better the research will be. On the first page you find the address to send the sheet back to. Hope you will join in.…

For sure, The World MAY be a Town, but in Bruno's world town its camouflaged. And thats Bruno - isn't it? Convolutions, crumpling and re-opening. Recycling. Half hidden - or is that re-hidden? Half quiet, half loud, all sealed. …

Diane sent this very well made card - proof - it journeyed unscathed through the post. A feat in itself! Sandwiched between two cards is flimsy plastic - Diane's continual nod to TrashPo. Echoing the work of Marie Wintzer (I think Diane?) , the front is carefully stitched in color coded cotton. There is slight mutilation to the black painted board where the stitches enter and leave. A memory mark. Its a FAB for sure - thank you Diane :-) X …

The other day I picked up an envelope from Le Gristaire. It wasn't for me, it was for that rock star Mère Ubu (I know there is also a Père UHU walking around, laugh!). She doesn't live here anymore but I bumped into her at the supermarket today, she says thanks!…

Cheryl Penn communicates in a mysterious way, perhaps asking the viewer of her image to "read" it based on the knowledge background he/she brings to it. Combining torn text, a photo of text, sewing in red zig zag lines, she stamps the message: How Text Lies.
Overall her work is engaging, complex, and challenging. The work I show here came in a brightly painted envelop with Ruud Janssen's "zalop" on it. In addition, Cheryl treated me to an entire string of South African fish stamps…
