Ether is a word that is so multilayered that it is impossible to simply give one definition of it. This word needed a book! We started exchanging chapters for it, in an experimental "let's see where this goes" kind of…

The first painted envelope with "Sweet Dream Buddie" arrived with a note saying that a larger one was on its way. Guido also has a very distinctive style, African yet South Oceanic symbolic work.

Karen's distinctive characters with their naive quality never cease to please me. All her cards are painstakingly handdrawn, painted, or printed using so many different techniques, they are wonderful and I am always glad when her envelopes arrive in my postbox. Thanks my friend.…

I was rather puzzled by this card when I opened my mailbox and had to actually ask David if he was sick and dying :-))
I was relieved to hear that all was well for him. After reading his message I thought that he had indeed sent it to the right person. Some people think about death much more often than others do. About the constant threat that is lying upon…

A new photoblog started at the occasion of a mail art workshop on June 4, 2011 at the Espace Wallonie in Brussels. While Bernd Reichert and Reed Altemus were at the artist book fair in Mainz, Germany, I participated at the collage mail art workshop proposed by Inez Oludé da Silva and Mario Villaggi. This workshop was one of the 5 that took place during the exhibition 50/50. Mario became 50 and invited 50…
