Here's the latest collaborative poem from Richard and tonipoet. The handwritten lines are his, of course, the typed lines are my adds. I love responding to Richard's work this way--I hope he likes it!

I don't know how she does this. It looks so clean and pretty. Pop-up books were my favorite things when I was a kid back in the Jurassic Period.…

A monotype collage that arrived today from Carmela Rizzuto. I'd been admiring her work here on IUOMA for awhile and very glad to find a piece from her in my mailbox.

A readymade/pop art inspired card that arrived in today's mail from Ruben. I especially like the Duchamp inspired rubber stamp.

Has it been nearly five years already? My last exchange with ArtTower was in November 2011 when he sent me this same post card of his Head project. I'm sure you've seen them before as they are everywhere on this website: Just search "ArtTower". I believe they are a long…

When I started doing this mail-art thing a few months ago (!) I had the great good luck to become a correspondancer with Richard C. He has written a number of poems on plain white postcards and sent them to me. He said he wanted to exchange poems with me, so I, being completely ignorant of how illustrious Richard C is, decided I would turn his poems into collaborations. Since he keeps sending me poems, I have to believe he doesn't mind too much. Here's one I added to his "...a tearible…

ALSO in the package with "Another Crappy Mini Zine" was this bizarre and wonderful boekie, hand-decorated, stamped, blued, painted, and even sewn, made from a little pocket doo-hickey originally intended by the well-meaning Minneapolis Metro Transit company to help riders use their buss passes. Little did they know....…

first, the envelope. made from a fast food bag (he has a video showing how he does this). It even has nutrition information on it.
next, the Crappy Mini Zine itself, a thing of rare beauty, or, as the Barnes & Noble review exclaims: "A waste of…

Heleen beautifully combined two mail art interests here. The beautiful hand painted card has hand lettered stamp perforations (the patience it takes to do that!) and a wonderful curious crow looking up at the clock, which has no hands. The flip side of the card has clocks (& chickens, one of whom may be a "Crow-ing" rooster?) and the envelope is covered with clocks. Love the thought that went into this piece.…
