Thanks Nikki. That's really interesting,  not the least because it's a very early piece of Mail Art. I'm trying to establish who the first ever mail artist was, but that of course depends on how you define a 'mail artist'. I 'm thinking it must have something to do with an official postal system. So for me the first ever mail artist is Mr Mulready who designed the mulready envelopes that first appeared in Great Britain in  May 1840. Here's one. Regards, Val

I have posted this before but not within this group...it was suggested I do so!  So...here it is, here you are and here I am!  This piece was from 1850 pic'd in an article 'Eloquent Envelopes'  published in 'American Heritage' mag, 1988.

Raising worms to frighten girls?

In the immortal words of Sly and the Family Stone, 'Different strokes for different strokes'.

Regards, Val (who has two rather elegant cats that do seem to attract girls...and other cats, too)

Hello David!

This might be a stupid question, and, if it is, do please forgive me, but what do you raise worms for?

Regards, Val
