Scannerpo from ?? and Trashquilt from Rebecca

I do not know who sent me the scannerpo from Amsterdam and I know it's not from XX Jones.  So thank you XXXX. Rebecca is on fire with these trashquilts made of a beautiful array of melted plastic bags. I don't know how she does it, but these just get better and better and the reverse side of printed vellum is equally great "When In Rome".... bring trashquilts

Rebecca, before you go on a shopping spree in consumer utopia, make sure you apply to the government for your EBT (food stamp) card. Strangely, the finances for these programs are managed by the Monster Banks such as Chase & J,P. Morgan. If you're using the Dollar Store, you're already a native.

Oh I wrote a really long reply and it disappeared!

DKUTLUK! I'd be honored. I am doing a little mail art thing at an opera event on the Suffolk/Essex border - deep UK - so will begin thinking of inaugural activities to bring DKULT to the attention of all!

I went to a dollar store in Bangor and got some cheap shaped stamps that I've been carving in the hours that I'm off-duty.  Had envisioned making and sending lots of mixed media mail art (carved stamping and fused plastic trashpo quiltish things) but no access to the sewing machine yet and time not very abundant. I wanted you all to have a Cranberry Island postmark, but I think you have one DK - the sea shanty trashpo. \

We have Lidyl, Asda, Tesco, Aldi (similar but different to Walmart - smaller and they charge you for bags).

One of our former Cranberry Islanders works at Walmart in Ellsworth and she always gives me a hug in uniform.

The only problem with that is that all Walmart employees are extraterrestrials and communicate at a different frequency than the rest of us. If we can hack their 'arir'waves, then we can flood them with propoganda. DKult benefits are far better than Sammie's, and our products aren't made on the broken backs of third world factory workers. We manufacture all our own clothing and food in the compound.  But then you know that, because you headed up the basket weaving initiative--weaving for worldwide trashpo awareness

DKULTUK is good idea.

DK, in our new Surveillance Culture each of is generating hours of video every day. I think we do indeed have some rights to those videos for artistic purposes.

Here is my idea: We make a deal with WalMart that all their greeters have to be Kulters. The exposure would be huge.

DVS-that reminds me of a performance art/theater group that I heard of that enacted entire plays to security cameras in stores

yes, Rebecca, if you aren't careful everyone will start sending you plastic bags. They are a menace here as bad as plastic water bottles EVERYWHERE. DKult is hardly at work on a code of ethics. i am very proud to announce that we now have a DKULTTX. Borderline Grafix has drank the Kool-Aid. Rebecca, will you head up DKULTUK?

Rebecca, you'll have no lack of plastic bags.

You must make the DKult pilgrimage to WalMart & participate in the self-checkout performance. WM has clearly decided hiring humans is way too complicated & is replacing them with robot scanners. Demand they give you the surveillance video so you can post it on YouTube as conceptual art.

Walmart bags might not be the best but they are very abundant.

BTW the bags are just as colorful in Maine as in England.  And the carrot bags have tiny thin orange lines!

I didn't even dare to hope... you will pleased to know that this nomination has spurred me on to stop my leaf picking, weeding, oven cleaning and parsnip cake cooking to make an almighty mess in the barn with plastic bags. This is all just SO exciting! I await KDJ's response...

Yes, KDJ and I are in touch through various mail forwarding services so it is impossible to determine her whereabouts, for obvious reasons.

Awesome--grats to Rebecca and XXXX!!  I'm sure KDJ will approve your nomination--particularly after her evening cocktails
