Let's hope she said they mock the fish and then hoot them out.

"Time flies when you live in mail art utopia"--doesn't it, though--and timelessness is bliss--

Congrats DK, the moveable aquarium is a great part of the show. Could you negotiate to do some DKult baptismal performances in the tanks? Would be great to leave the fish in there.

I know Nancy=I was shocked when I calculated it. The show was up in late Jan. and I had put out the call 6 months prior. Time flies when you live in mail art utopia. The woman behind the whole expo said the way they get the fish in there is to shock them and then scoop them out. That sounded pretty awful, so I am hoping I just misundderstood her.  My family will have to be the street team and capture people's reactions. Mail art will seep into the consciousness stream!

Are you kidding? A year ago? Seems like only October, maybe. Very exciting, DK, and the aquarium is beyond fab. The "Green Expo" must have called out plainly for our trashpo, good thing you are watching with antennae out, though you are obviously more than capable of creating opportunities out of thin air. Thank you, and video/photos/anythingelse = joy.

Mail Art:  Embrace the Madness

I like that. Taidgh-the show was put tout together for its' last gig at city hall so I wasn't able to add anything new. I am using the fab trash you sent though. XX-yes this was all mail art sent to me for my trashpo mail art call almost a year ago . I absolutely love everything that was sent to me and it reminds me why mail artists are among my favorite if not THE most favorite people on the planet

I am still working on bamboozling my family into embracing my madness. A work in progress. The exhibit looks splendid DK. Will my trashpo kit be making an appearance?

Like you said, mail art taking over the world! And in Elgin I suppose it's that refined form of mail art... Trashpo. This morning when I was cleaning the corners of the house for my mother I was thinking about the things pther people in my nuclear family do for me and the first image that came into my head was hanging the Cranberry Island mail art show. Aren't we lucky to have bamboozled them into embracing our madness?

That is great, Diane. Is this all mail you received? How about your work= These display thingies are very neat too.

I hope you have a ton of fun!!

Thanks Angie!  I have to work all weekend during the show, which is tonight and all day tomorrow, but my family will be going and will document it. A video would be nice. I'll see if my daughter wants to play Spielberg (sp?) they are having hawks and falcons, tons of vendors, fire dancers etc. at least that's all I know of, But I know the trashpo show will be the highlight--at least for me!!
