Aquarel!

Last week I happened to receive two 10x15cms Water Colour paintings ('aquarel' in Dutch) at the same day.

One created close to my home town and sent recently, the other created far away and sent a longer time ago.

I am happy to show them here:

From Amsterdam, the Netherlands:

Thank you very much,…

Newly received Mail Art

Since my long bed scanner, which sat next to my lap top on the little desk space in my studio, stopped functioning, I had to rely on the scanner in my husband's studio. It breaks my rhythm of playing. Or perhaps…

"What are you going to do with that ugly thing?" Dean's wife asked nicely.

After working on it, Dean Marks now says "BUT I KINDA LIKE IT!" So do I, yep, it's colorful, looks Italian or French, and features wine and grapes--can't go wrong with those ingredients: There it hangs now near the piano corner, lightening the heavy load of the…

An Urgent parcel for His honorable The Minister of Fluxus from Suffolk Rebecca

I was so honored to receive this parcel. Man, it was full of some goodies:

So bright! The back is very beautiful and funny. There is a wonderful copy of an analysis of ten-year-old John writing to his auntie. "Was he being satirical when he says the towel was the best towel her had ever seen?"…

'on the side of the angels' from NBS

The joy of the elements of this piece go beyond the visual which may be difficult to believe. Nancy layered  fine parchment papers. Both splendidly painted and collaged. The other element here is the SOUND of the paper when lifting to peek beneath. so multi-dimensional Nancy. an angel peeks through the window on the upper left. Gracias NBS. It's always a pleasure doing business with you. ;--)…

Transgressing The Page / Bhubesi Women (II) - from Cheryl Penn

Transgress

1. To go beyond or over (a limit or boundary); exceed or overstep

2. To act in violation of (the law, for example)

As far as the page is concerned, I think that Cheryl is transgressing it with every piece of art she is sending out. Guilty as charged. Her books never look like any other books that ever…
