After working on it, Dean Marks now says "BUT I KINDA LIKE IT!" So do I, yep, it's colorful, looks Italian or French, and features wine and grapes--can't go wrong with those ingredients: There it hangs now near the piano corner, lightening the heavy load of the significance of classical music. Dean tells the story here of how I came to earn this prize by sending him 99 american cents last year, an investment obviously well worth making: The 91-cents sale price is a little suspect, but who's looking a gift horse in the mouth?
One of Dean's book covers also arrived recently, and I agree with the philosophy he puts forth, except for the part-sentence which could lead us to believe that "laughter is an indicator of pathology":
*Thank You,* Dean!

You are aware and sweet to check on such a thing! Dean, that piano corner is left behind in Old Orchard Beach. Not the piano, just that corner. It has a new corner in South Portland, and your funny funky fresh fruity-wine masterpiece is unpacked in the shed here, as is most everything else, after the move. You will see a photo of it in its new corner when the unpacking is done, which might be in 2017, not sure. :--} So nice to hear from you. I love what you've sent, and will be back to mail-arting soon.
Just checking that it's still in the piano corner.
Cold and raining here in Old Orchard Beach too. Remember, colors running together isn't always a bad thing.
104F! No wonder I've avoided Vegas.
Cold and raining here in Paris. No more painting outdoors, all the colors run together. Give me Vegas in 104°F anyday!
It's a good thing you're as worldly as you are, prepared for any surprise or danger, not to mention need for painting supplies, while on the road. You must miss that easel now that you're home. Or maybe you found a way to send it to yourself for under $8,000.
We did keep it locked up in the hotel safe over night. One never knows!
Apparently you wouldn't! Dean Marks you are a riot! You'd think the motel would be worried about theft, leaving valuable fine-art easels out on the patio like that.
No way, and that setup deserves a prize! I like to think you really painted it there. It looks so at home, too.
