From Katerina Momkat Nikoltsou and Dean Marks:

Well, it's the end of the month, and I don't wish to keep anyone in suspense any longer. So as the esteemed judge for this month's MOBMA award, I have the duty of crowning this IUOMA Group's best submission. The task was arduous, rife with hair-pulling (literally--see Vizma's submission), and tortured. Tactics of bribery were ignored. I was so overwhelmed by the pressure, that I eventually broke the contest down into several categories, for which prizes are being awarded and sent in the…

After working on it, Dean Marks now says "BUT I KINDA LIKE IT!" So do I, yep, it's colorful, looks Italian or French, and features wine and grapes--can't go wrong with those ingredients: There it hangs now near the piano corner, lightening the heavy load of the…

What a SURPRISE! Before his trip to the U.S., Dean still managed to send me an -as ever- special mail-art using a "real" -oh yes, you shocked bibliophiles!- a real book cover, referring to his pragmatic philosophy: some books are better off in Mail Art than sitting on a shelf! And yes, I don't know which wisdom was protected by this beautiful red cover, but its new coverings are wise AND funny! And I will try, of course, to live according to them!!!…

In keeping with our recent mail art exchanges detailing the cultural and topographical nuances of our respective cities, Dean send me an oversized placard emblazoned with city of Paris district (les arrondisements) maps, with a foreboding warning concerning the car parking situation in the City of Lights:
"To Park, or not to Park;
To Drive, or not to Drive;
To Pay, or not to Pay;
Paris Life, unknown to Tourists"…

This blog makes obvious how far behind we are here in OOB. I enjoyed this anarchic card, and thank you all! …

This isn't Buckingham Palace, right Dean? But I don't know, maybe the Palace signs are hidden underneath the glued-on wooden fork that is plastered against the house. The Queen doesn't even look surprised by the fork. There seems to be a little consternation on her face, but I hear that isn't unusual :
This is from Dean Marks's "Mail Art on the Road" series, of course,…

Above, Dean notes on the other side that "9 out of 10 dentists recommend Dean's cards to make them smile." :--}…

Genki people, I missed you too much, I couldn't be without you for very long. I received a LOT of mail art last week and I don't know if I will have time to blog it all, but here is a copy-paste from last week's Marie's Mailbox blog. Sorry it is a bit long but I didn't want to post three separate blogs.

It's a Dean of course :-) Dean is making mail-art even when on vacation and having his birthday. This is a thank you card for the birthday wishes, which is so very nice of him. Dean went on a skying weekend during which he met the banana family, who made a big impression on him, so I am a little bit concerned about the Bar Codes. Am I holding one of the last…

My first barcode postcard from Dean! And I have to say it's great to see it "for real". I don't know why but the golden parts didn't come out at all on the photo, so you'll just have to imagine they are there. I can see why you are saying that barcodes are human too, Dean :-))) there is a certain energy to them that pertains to human life. But above all, they…
