The most amazing box arrived, beautifully packaged in a cologne box, was the prototype for Dryerpo--from the Diane Keys Collection. This is Dkult's FIRST product line and it does not disappoint. A dirty wool sock was just the first of many pleasant surprises. Received the most amazing pieces from Amy Morton. This 'bug' inkblot idea is ingenious. She tells me to try it, but there is no way I could draw something this cool. This piece arrived innocently enough, the way all the mail does. But each of my kids individually was inexorably drawn to look at it and was terrified.  What is it ? they asked.   It's a Dkult Kween from Not Hi Ng, I said.  This bit of trashpo is painted cardboard.  She/He even has holes in his/her ears that look lijke gauges.  This must be a portrait of All Beef Patty, from Dkults Tuesday night drag show. The USPS put her in a nice clear plastic 'oops' bag. They must have thought THEY were responsible for her dirty face. Little did they know she went grunge on the streets of Paris. I've been making Trashterpiece quilts lately in my quest to find new directions in trashpo. Rebecca said this inspired her to make this excellent trashpo quilt. she has added her own superior flair by scooping up the 'garbage' she had in her car, combing it with plastic bags, and making this color blocked quilt.
