FINALLY! The mail I've been waiting for since Dean made this on the 6th of August! He sent it to Riga and I had just left, and my brother emailed to say he picked up some MA from the post office from a laughing post lady! Anyway, he said I had to come back if I wanted it, and a long argument ensued over several weeks until I convinced him to send! (I just had to say…

What I received from Frieder Speck today can be called bizarre for sure.
It all began with this parcel.(Check out those bar codes, Dean!)
and the flip side:
Good German handiwork...not entirely bullet proof.
The act…

Many of you know that I've been publishing a print magazine, several of the IUOMA artists have had their work featured in it including Eduardo Cardoso and Carina Granlund in the Winter 2012 issue. Matthew Rose and David Stafford were also featured in past issues. In addition to the print version, Un<>Cut now has its own website and I encourage everybody to go take a look! You can find it by following this link:…

Angie recently sent me this stunning collage. The stamped images are made from a potato carving. Very effective on this piece. But here's the outrageous part. Angie told me that when she was done with the potato, she cleaned the potato off and ATE IT!!!!!! You Rock, Angie! Keep the collages coming!…

I had prepared a small package for Erni to send today, and as he is sadly not with us at the moment, I am going to do some self-publishing. Here are the pieces that I sent to Erni. The bar codes on the envelope are references to a recent online conversation about barcodes, which involved Katerina from Greece and Dean from France as well. The brown wrapping paper came from Erni in an earlier letter and I recycled it.…

Carina hit the bulls eye with this 'mind and body combo'. Love how she combined classical with contemporary. "...Both sides now, it's life's illusions I recall.." Hope the details on this piece can be seen in the photo. Thank you Carina. …

Odd Ball Things yes, but some wonderful memories that came with it. OH I remember thoses tags which were used before barcodes! A real treat all of this stuff. Where did you ever find that picture of my first girlfriend? She looks a bit stiff in the picture, but boy did we have some laughs!
Sadly it is time to tell everyone that Nancy's glove never made it to…

What does she see out her window?
If she is a guest at Boulevard de Bercy in France, she sees this:
And, if she's had champagne, she may see THREE of 'em?…

No matter how many times you repeat yourself before you loose your head, some people will never understand the important things in life. Rebecca makes it clear in this fun piece. She hit the nail on the head with me!
Funny enough, at first I didn't see the bottle! Thanks for those unstamped stamps ...…

OH Why OH why does Cheryl torture me this way. Yes another wonderful painting cut up into pieces and sent all over the world. You got to admit it, the lady has a great style. I just keep telling myself; “ be grateful for the piece you received”, “artist have the power to do whatever they want with their own work”, I can’t wait to meet her and hit her with a newspaper. Bad Girl, Bad Girl.…
