FINALLY! The mail I've been waiting for since Dean made this on the 6th of August! He sent it to Riga and I had just left, and my brother emailed to say he picked up some MA from the post office from a laughing post lady! Anyway, he said I had to come back if I wanted it, and a long argument ensued over several weeks until I convinced him to send! (I just had to say I'd pay the postage!) He ended up putting it in a whiskey tin which I bought him, and this is how it arrived all wrapped up and un-Deanish.

This is the official side, nice stamps, collage, blokes drinking in a house made of bottles...

and on the other side...

CHAMPAGNE CORKS!!! WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!

All French too, and stuck in an egg carton with some crazy glitter glue! Now that's a sparkling idea!!!

This piece is sooooo cool, because;

1. Vizma in Latvian means sparkle!

2. My grandfather LIVED in Champagne, the place in France, not in a bath full of it, (before Val makes a comment)

3. I looooove champagne!!!

4. It just IS!!!

Thanks Dean and Cheers!!!

HA! Yep, must go to Champagne to find my roots!

AH that's where that "Ruin Art" champagne capsule went to.  I have been looking ever where for it!

Boy, those were the days.

Yes, now I remember why you want a tour of the Champagne area.  But what if we find lots of children that look like your Grandfather?
