"Hi Raj, I'm just the opposite - I spend too much time on the computer and cut back on my snail mail! I suppose thats why I started this UK Mail Art group , to see how many there were and connect them all in some way. It;s certainly…"
"Thank you Michael, I'm sorry for my delayed reply, I don't get on the computer too much. Yes I'm a mail artist in the UK, based in London. I was wondering if you might have a UK mail artists directory. I'm…"
"I will send out invites before the exhibition. You must try and come over to see it Ruud. Possibly the biggest mail art show in the UK ever! Michael Scott organised the last one "Post Restante" back in 1979 so it's…"
"Hi Martha, Glad it's not just me that gets those scary "this is insecure log in" doodads! Not read any Harry Potter either - not all the way through - Hazel and I used to read them to Archie when he was little - a right of…"
"Yes I also get that warning by my over zealous virus checker, Avast. I ignore it.
I hope I did not give the impression that I actually read Harry Potter. I tried to read the first one and could not, the English is so infantile. And…"
"HI Jade and Martha, Not very actice participant in the snail mail anymore but working on a big mail art archive show that will be seen in Manchester in August so that will take up a lot of time ( has already !). 40+ years of mail can be…"
"I am, Jade H, so active in mail art that I haven't got the time for much else. Gets me in the bad books of the family, but then you mail arters( great expression! ) are more interesting.
Since you seem very good at this, can you think what to…"
Thank you Michael, I'm sorry for my delayed reply, I don't get on the computer too much. Yes I'm a mail artist in the UK, based in London. I was wondering if you might have a UK mail artists directory. I'm mainly interested in mail art swops, or contributing to various themed calls - I prefer that over adding and passing.
Hi Michael, sorry for delay in replying. We were in communication around 2000-2001 I think. But also, long before that, I once delivered a friend in a sealed box to your International Mail Art Convention, in Lambeth, around about 1990 I reckon. Ben Part was his name, 'Part B' his alias. We then came in and made mail art together. It's a memory I still cherish! John Held Junior was also there, he helped me unload the 'parcel' from my 'delivery van'... Ben was not a small chap! I've long since lost touch with him. Marta Aitchson sent me some of your Ping Pong collaborative stamps which are lovely. Hope you're well and happy! Best wishes, Amrit
