Hello, Mr. Variable! So nice to hear from you again! Sorry if you got this twice, but there was an issue... anyway, I'm still doing mail art, though at a somewhat reduced pace owing to back and wrist issues (did you know I'm a software developer?). I've been documenting my work on the Shouting at the Postman website (http://www.kenbmiller.com/satpostman - all hand-coded by me) and on Instagram @ShoutingAtThePostman. I'm glad you got back in touch! I hope you are doing well!

New non website

Posted on March 16, 2023 at 6:41pm 0 Comments

The Nonlocal has built a website with archives from the network and Non art as well. Lots of 90s stuff, and will also post 2023-onward from post-mail-art slumber. Very basic beta site, will be improving over the next month. Check the post at bottom of home page for what's what. Feedback via the Contact page...

AI Mail Art...?

Posted on March 6, 2023 at 5:50pm 8 Comments

Here’s a question. Is Generative AI mail art Mail Art? What does the Fluxus Manifesto say? Situationism? Neoism? IUOMA? What are the norms we want to follow here? We all use tech for our work, despite the DIY ethic. Does AI count. Here’s a bunch of Dall-E-generated art from my prompts. Is it Mail Art because I generated the prompt? Have fun with this little puzzle 😊…
