ANY GUESSES AS TO WHAT THIS INCREDIBLY EXCITING POSTCARD IS ALL ABOUT??

The postcard comes from Corsica and was sent to 'Papy' Norbert in Loupia, France, by Cécile and Ludovic on 23 August 2001. That much is clear. But the photo on the Postcard is not: it's watery, but what are those things in the water -- stones, crabs...? And why would anyone think this is a suitable subject for a Postcard?

Postcards from Szklarska Poręba, a tourist town in the Karkonosze Mountains (Riesengebirge in the Sudety - Suddeten - mountain range), located on the border between Poland and the Czech Republic. Postcards issued around 1985.

BATTLE AXES.....CONTINUING RAPHAEL'S MILITARY THEME....AND, AS THIS IS A GREEK POSTCARD, WE CAN EAGERLY AWAIT KATERINA'S COMMENTS

These are "Golden double axes from the sacred cave of Arkalochori (LM 1 period)" from the Museum of Herakleoin which contains a number of double-headed gold axes that were found in a cave in 1600.

The Postcard was not sent, but the reverse side is date stamped 01. 6. 92 at 12.01 -- presumably when it was bought.

(What were you doing at that precise moment?!)

Over to you Katerina....

WEDDING CEREMONY, CASABLANCA, MOROCCO

I can't work out who is marrying whom, or even how many marriages are taking place, but, and after periods of long reflection, I have come to the conclusion that all the brides are dressed in white, all the bridegrooms are also dressed in white, and the people dressed in other colours provide the cabaret.

A boring image to be sure... but the article that accompanies it certainly isn't: Answer on Postcard: Footprints in Time and Space
