Even though it makes sense that we can look on each others profiles, you may want to add your address here and any blogs or other accounts you want highlighted. This way it's in a closed environment and we all get to share.

What's your default? 7 Replies

Because my friend Matt asked me this the other night, I had to think about it. His is painting a blue sky and some clouds, then he waits to see if anything more comes. His skull for Skull Appreciation Day was just the blue sky & clouds cause…Continue

Who will you send  your first piece of mail to? I've been thinking about this a lot. Will it be someone in this group? Will it be one of the many mail artists I've exchanged MA with over the years? Will it be one of my letter writing friends, or my…Continue

Significant dates for the diary (some might say...) 41 Replies

McFloozy mentioned Quack Day in February and I had a message from Valentine Mark Hermann telling me of an anniversary in February. I figured that it would be best to put all the dates in one discussion, so anyone could contribute and we could all…Continue

Thank you Andy for posting my weekend mail art, and as it is already Monday, January 10, in Greece, then there are four!

When I get mail art from the "365"ers here, I always will thank them at their IUOMA page, either by message or comment, and then perhaps with a "blog" on the main page, and surely a mail art via snail mail. If the 365-mailart is from someone not at IUOMA, then a thank you and reply goes via snail mail. definitely!

When I receive a piece of mail art, I post it on my mail art blog with the artist's name and website or blog address. Except I think I forgot to do that in the last few weeks. It's the method I've used ever since I started doing mail art, because it appeared to be a fairly standard method of documentation. Blog is http://itsonlyabook.blogspot.com

Andy, stapling string to the floor is out, but I'll wander around and think it over and see what I can do similarly. The idea of displays is so much nicer than tucking them away in a box or drawer.

I've looked for the card I received on our 365 blog and commented under the image or I've sent a message view our IUOMA page. It's nice to know that a card has arrived.

I would love crisispanty's address. I don't see it here so if anyone has it, please message me. Even if it's only an email address I can use to contact crisis.

Hi Boo, we used string drawn tight between the ceiling and stapled to the floor then used foldback clips to attach the pieces to the strings

Andy, my ongoing question: how did they hang the mailart without damaging it?
Comment by PostMuse on January 8, 2011 at 10:18am

Ooooooo! I forgot to put the quilling up! It was one of the first I received and I noted it on the blog but I didn't keep that with the rest because I was afraid it would get squashed. It's hanging above my art desk ... and you know .. there is also a note on my art desk ... taped down where I see it every time I'm in there ... that says "Don't forget Elena's quilling." I put the note there because I knew I was going to do a REAL wall. And still I forgot. This is proof that signs don't work. You see signs every day and your brain ignores them after a while.

No worries ... it will be in February's picture. I have an idea for a background for February that should look really nice with your quilling, Elena.
