Why I am involved in Mail-Art:
I love the idea of making small pieces and 'trading' them with others around the globe. It is the combination of the art medium and the connectivity to others.

Hello Janet!

Suddenly I saw your name on IUOMA pages. Anyway my message is not only about Mail Art, this is also a very personal message.

My mother was born with the surname Baumgartner. Our ancestor Johann Baptist Baumgartner moved from Schweiz to Finland in 1858. I know that we have relatives also in the United States. When my mother was a child she got fine presents from relatives who lived in USA. What is the origin of your family? Might we be relatives?

Best regards Anja Mattila-Tolvanen from Finland

Did you say  'trading' small pieces with others around the globe?   Earthling: this celestial scribe is ready when you are.
