What's your default? 7 Replies

Because my friend Matt asked me this the other night, I had to think about it. His is painting a blue sky and some clouds, then he waits to see if anything more comes. His skull for Skull Appreciation Day was just the blue sky & clouds cause…Continue

Who will you send  your first piece of mail to? I've been thinking about this a lot. Will it be someone in this group? Will it be one of the many mail artists I've exchanged MA with over the years? Will it be one of my letter writing friends, or my…Continue

Significant dates for the diary (some might say...) 41 Replies

McFloozy mentioned Quack Day in February and I had a message from Valentine Mark Hermann telling me of an anniversary in February. I figured that it would be best to put all the dates in one discussion, so anyone could contribute and we could all…Continue

When I make stamps, which is not too often, I just use the stamp edge scissors that I bought at Michaels. Simple. Primitive. Good enough for me.

But, I always note that new stamps really aren't perforated. They are usually self stick with nice straight edges. So, I'm not fretting on this one. The stamp edge give it a nice vintage look, like it used to be in the good ole' days.

Lots of good information in the attached link (see below.) I have the book by the two Michaels that is mentioned. They were such bad boys as far as the US postal system goes. When I show the book at my mail art talks (I include some info about artists stamps) I always have to say: XX rated! ha haha ha Check this out.

Yeah I want to know the answer  to the perforation question too

With regards to pics displaying, I'm not quite sure I get the question. I know that the pics don't all show up on the thumbnail previews, but if you click the title it should bring you through to the full post with pics. Can you include a screenshot and I'll see what I can do

Good day 365ers. JJ all the way I LOVE the piece I received yesterday I posted it on my IUOMA page for now. My much younger and more tech savy sister is going to help me upload a bunch of stuff to catch up tonight! And I have a general question for any of you who create their own stamps....what tool (if any) do YOU use to perforate the paper? Or do you buy pre-perforated paper...what are your techniques?

My photos do not show up. Only my text. I upload using our blogger dashboard. Go figure. I have no idea why just what is. However, when I click on the post, it opens to the image. Mysterious!

Paual, I'm seeing the photos. Try quitting and then reopening your browser ... or maybe clear the cache?

I've got a problem A lot of times I'll click on someone's post on the MailArt site to look at their work, and there's text describing the work, but no photo of the work. Do I have a problem with my computer, or are the photos not uploading correctly?

Camel -- I run a newspaperl I have a whole office full of old useless negatives. Let me know if you find a use for them. And PostMuse, you're very welcome. Have fun. Maybe some day I'll try the cut & paste variety of collage, but for now, I'm addicted to my photoshop! I can do that at my desk and everyone thinks the boss is actually working!
