Comment by De Villo Sloan on April 25, 2011 at 3:07pm: Bruno, I'm somewhat familiar with Helen's work. These asemics she has posted seem to me different from other things of hers I've seen. To me, it shows a real flexibility. This is firmly in verbal-visual territory, where text and image merge. I think individuals fluctuate between the two mediums and find their own ground. Real synthesis is elusive, however. (Someone is a painter or someone is a poet, and you can see the pull.) That said, I definitely see a similarity between what she's posted and your work. IMHO, of course.
