The IUOMA is free for all members because of the many sponsors that donate to the IUOMA or because of the IUOMA bookshop that brings in money to keep this platform alive & free.

and when you order a few books, a small fee will be going to the IUOMA and you will get some lovely books on Mail-Art.

On this page I will keep IUOMA members up to date on how the financial situation is for IUOMA on NING. According to the new guidelines by NING the hosting costed 588 USD (=508 Euro at current rates) when paid on a yearly basis.

For 2024-2025 : 508 EURO is brought up by members/sponsors (paid for)

For 2025-2026 : 81 euro needed (427 euros brought up by members/sponsors)

For 2026-2027 : 508 euro needed.

The exchange-rate of USD-EUR might change the numbers a bit. And if NING changes it rates again, the table changes too!

For Paypal donations: IMPORTANT: please use the friends/family option. That means the transaction costs are minimal and Paypal doesn't get a large part of your donation.

At the moment in the US, there are so many organizations that are struggling with the reduction or elimination of funding. I want to support them all, but it’s impossible. You have created such a great community and resource here. A true labor of love. I just donated because without art the world becomes a place of only conflict and survival. Art enriches all lives. Thank you for all your hard work.

Comment by Ruud Janssen yesterday: As some of you may have noticed, I needed to stop the www.iuoma.org domain name and also the e-mail addresses connected to that. The original prive was ok, but since Yahoo quite and new organisations in the USA took over, the payment each month was getting too much.

This NING network also is expensive becaiuse of the high volume of data and activities. Somehow each year we manage to keep it alive. Also thanks to the lovely donations I get from members. That way this network stays free for all users and has no advertisings whatsoever.

Seems like the next year will be ok, we are almost there. Bills come always end of June for the next year.

Would mean the hosting costs would triple. Can't afford that. Also donations are slow this year. Must be something with the crisis that is taking place worldwide. A few more donations would be welcome to help continuing this IUOMA network on NING. In July the next payment for 2025-2026 is due and the funds are not there yet.

That would be wonderful on Facebook and other social Media, but the IUOMA network is based on Mail-Art. So please keep that in focus. The lareger the database gets, the more expensive the hosting. Groups that are no longer needed or used eventually will get deleted to save space and money. The http://www.archive.org Internet Archive does store all that is published too because this is a large database. So you can view history there too!

If you want to donate to get IUOMA-publications into archives and museums please mention this with your donation. It will then be used to send some hardcopy books into museums and archives.
