NOTE: This Group is effectively in deep, very derep hiberrnation. The amount of ongoing Arty Slide activity is very close to nil, alas.

Hello again Al/Val...it's called Mintroverts. It's up. It will probably just sit there. But, I did it. And it was fun. Thank you for your guidance.
Deborah/Betty
Hello Deborah, Hello Betty,
I've been thinking (a bit) about Minimalism. If you intend to use it as the title of a new Group, are you referring to:
i) the physical size of a piece of art, and, if so, what is the size?
ii) or, the minimalist style of art in general (abstract art, simple geometric or square shapes: I am working on an acrylic series of these that are 40 cms by 40 cms/ 16 x 16 inches: some examples below)?
iii) or, both?
iv) or, something else?
Over to you.
And Paul Simon...
I can be your long lost pal
I can call you Betty
And Betty when you call me
You can call me Al
Or Val
"If I call you Betty, you can call me Al"
Or Val.
Yes, do contact me on Monday: as we are in different continents and time zone, you may not receive an instant reply, but you will get one.
Yes again, do start some sort of 'Minimalist Group. It is very easy to do so; All you really need to start off is a short description of what the Group is about, and then some photos of your Minimalist works. Create a few to start with, and offer to exchange them with the Group's members.
Look at the very, very first thing I posted for my Boring Postcards Group in which I set out the broad outline of the sorts of things I was looking for.
Then post a Blog informing everyone about it, and invite your Friends and members of other Groups you are a memberto to join. You will have to provide your email and physical address. And there will proably be someone, somehere, who doesn't respect your 'Don't send me....' policy, as Mail Artists don't always respect the 'rules'.
Over to you....
Regards, Val
Yep, 12 years ago, Katerina.
Here are the posters from our two exhibitions in 2012. The second one -- "le Retour" -- was, I believe, one of the largest in Europe at that time with hundreds of contributions.
As to coming out of hibernation....well, many or most of the original members of, and contributors to, the Group are no longer active in IUOMA, so it would be a case of starting again...which might not be a bad idea.
But, I don't want to start it again. However, if you do Deborah, I will most willingly turn the Group over to you, or -- and I think this would be better -- you could start a new one more tailored to your own interests, even if it means dropping the Arty Slides. "Miniature Art"? Which is where we came in...!
Welcome Deborah! See if you can re-boot it? But I have no idea if any of the existing member are still interested in it. Bonne chance! Val
