Bonsoir!

Katerina has suggested that we have a Special Mailing for Valentine's Day.

The theme would be,of course, Valentine's Day. Any treatment of it is allowed, but please try and give it some historic dimension.

(The only thing that is not allowed is using the image of any shape or form of Him in Sigean called Valentine)

Please let me know if you would like to participate. the 'obligation' involved is that all participants mail all other participants bon the 14th.

So far we have 2 people committed to this:

1; Katerina,

2. Him in Sigean.

DO JOIN IN!

Do let me know,

Regards, Val (only 26 days to go to my Saint's Day! Only three hundred and fifty odd shopping days to next Christmas)

Hi Katerina! We now have 14...and I hope we will get more. I've just (re-)invited the new members of the Group to join. Quite a few folks have joined in the last few days, but not explicitly said that they will be part of the mailing. is there a cut-off date?  Dunno. How about Friday 4 February? I'll circulate the list of names and addresses sometime next week...and trhen add to it as necessary. OK?

Regards, Val

I don't understand Him in Sigean. Does that mean no hearts?

I might send one or two. Might not be able to do better since I am late in responding to many Artists friends.
OK. I won't put your name on the mailing list, so then you won't have to send things to everyone -- there are now about 17 people involved. You'll still get the mailing list, and can then choose who you will mail to. Regards, Val
sorry....I didn't see where you were from, Valentine M.H. I think I get it now. Not to worry. No caricatures to come. Just good solid postal history. With helps.
Many, many, many thanks to Naomi for identifying the LOVE...(and wedding) USA Posatge stamps! I don't have ALL of those pictured, but several yes, and it is now good to know their day-of-issue, etc. THAT is postal history!

Where do i have to mail it?

Hello Georgia,

Welcome to the Mailing. You'll see that your name is on the list, and there you will find the addresses of our other friends who are participating. You can mail your stuff out anytime you like, but ideally it should arrive on or near to Valentine's Day -- 14 February.

Regards

Bologna? There for a moment, I thought SnookyDog was recruiting someone from Italy ;-)

Well, actually, we plan to bombard Valentine Mark Herman with hundreds and thousands of Valentines! (stamps, too)

Nice list of participants...getting ready to send out my hearts and kisses to those in distant lands first. Val, you live next door, so I'll send yours out the day before 14 Feb...maybe.

Please, oh please, put my name on the valentine's day list!

My mailing address is:

Jennie Hinchcliff c/o

Red Letter Day

PO Box 170271

San Francisco, CA. 94117

Starting on my valentines right now -- red/pink/white papers, where have you gone?!
