As Cascadia Artpost already suggested, there are great books which show the work, and sometimes personal photos, of Hannah Höch.

I thought to start this blog post so that all of you/us can share the knowledge of/about books (and documents, thesis and whatever publication you are enthusiast about).

Recently I discovered this book, the title ‘Fünf Treppen zum Dach’ meaning ‘Five stairs to the roof’. It is a ‘children’s-grownup’s’ book telling some facts (written by Gabriele Struck) and showing pictures (original photos, and illustrations of photos by Petra Grapow-Steffens) about Hannah Höch. Told from the perspective of two puppets Hannah has created :-)

For German speaking maybe most interesting, but I must say that I love the illustrations a lot, too.

Heleen, what a wonderful find! I can read and understand some German, and the illustrations are enticing, so I might seek out this book for our library. Thanks for posting this!

I am currently reading Hannah Hoch Life Portrait. Its a wonderful way of autobiography  She uses the most important things of meaning

to her in her lifetime. She's very minimalist in her coverage.
