Zombie Kitty Kawaii from Rocker Louise Kiner

Received this excellently drawn zombie kitty yesterday. You can't see frmo the picture, but certain parts of the cat are 3D  (Paw, eye, and tail). I like the cat's rat tail he looks like he's been through hell-maybe Road Kill raised from the dead. He SHOULD take his revenge. Thank you Louise!!!

It wasn't that long ago that I, too, had to research and discover what this term--"kawaii"--was and why so many people were referencing it on the internets.  I quickly learned that it was a genre that did not appeal to me at all. All that hyper-cutesiness makes me vomit cringe just a little.  But THIS, Louise, is BRILLIANT.  Kind of turns all that cutesiness on its head.  I can't help laughing every time I look at it... which makes me think something is wrong with me!  Ack!  LOL!  Can't wait to see your plushie masterpiece!!!!

You are correct about "Kawaii" which is "cute", but looking in  one of my Shojo Beat Magazines, there is also "Kowai" which, interestingly enough means "scary" or creepy.

Your rat is a very Kawaii beastie.

Btw, I'm pretty rubbish at sewing; which is why the plushie version of Zombie Kitty is still living in a plastic bag. But, I may be inspired to finish now.

He's adorable. What child doesn't love stuffed rodents?

i only have one stuffy, which used to be the one gabriel always took with when we were out about town in the bike trailer:

Mad rat Black Friday is from the Sigikid Beasts collection and is a complete fruit loop. He has a thick black woollen fabric laced with grey flecs throughout, has a hilarious shape (who can fail to giggle at that huge snout) and even his ears are twisted. The claws are leather strips, his nose hand stitched with wool and those crazy whiskers and hair tuft finish him off beautifully. His tail is thick woollen string knotted at the end and those silly eyes are beads that point in different directions just in case you didn’t think he was mad enough. The smallest of the beasts and possibly the maddest of the beasts, very cute, measuring in at 26cm(h) x 16xm(d) x 21cm(w) and suitable from 3yrs+

Speaking of plush toys, I did a swap once which was monsters. That was pretty fun even though I'm not that good at sewing
