What an…

Marie Wintzer: SPAM

For some strange reason, (although I do believe that people program these things) my e-mails end up in Marie's and Vizma's SPAM box.

This is a homage for unseen Dean e-mails, and lids that open easily.…

So why don't they have the year of the Love?

Thank you…

Belatedly acknowledging and documenting mail art received!

Don't know about the rest of you but the holiday season has been long, wonderful and disruptive for me and mail art has arrived and sat in piles in my studio aching for documentation and replies.

Today the last of the family departed and when I made a path through the studio and started to examine the piles.  I am a bit daunted, for the moment, but also…

Marie Wintzer: Two Book Covers

Book covers are in.  They are the new trend.  But could you take one from the shelf and do this?  And two are better than one.

Thank you Marie, if you are out there.  Your ideas will never end.

Marie Wintzer: The Jar that came from Japan

So it stood in front of me like a Space Ship from Mars.  "What do I do now?", I asked myself.

You would expect Jam in a jar like this, but Marie takes it one step further.

103 is the lucky number…

Marie Wintzer: Seaweed and rice, and everything nice

It arrived in the last tide of mail.  Just like a messge in a bottle.  Rice glued on seaweed paper.  What a great idea.  Too bad the scan does not do it justice.

Thank you Marie, C'est vraiment une choucroute garnieJe…

Marie Wintzer: A hint of a smile

Well actually I had a big smile when I opened this homemade envelope and pulled out the piece of cloth with all the Marie trade marks.  The images, the text, staples and that paper clip that still doesn't do anything.

So long it did not fit on the scanner.…

Marie Wintzer: Bubbles Boekie and other lively drugs

The last time I saw one of these, I nearly got myself into trouble. But here it is for real. Quite a little gem, and delightful to hold and page through. When you put the boekie together, the story goes from English, to French, to Japanese to Czech or maybe Slovak. (not quite sure).

The story starts off with a young girl walking to High School. She arrives at the school and starts walking up the steps of the main door. All of a suddenly she hears a noise behind her, she turns…
