Collage by David Stafford?

This collage reminds me of David's style and the back of the card reminds me of his humor.

David, if this is yours, please signal by saying "Aye"!…

Please Note: David's Stafford's tribute to Pete Seeger arrived on time.

It's the blog that's late: Man, you caught Pete's posture and everything. Sending Pete plus Dylan dying and being reborn at the Newport Folk Festival on the back of an old Kingston Trio 45 record cover ensured that I'd die of nostalgia. Thanks, Dave…

FAUX FUNK turns David Staffords stomach

David found this piece littered in a walmart parking lot. You can imagine how excited he was thinking he had found an authentic collage. "It turns out to be an A-1 primo example of the corporate co-option of collage". The other side is a typical Kraft food packaging for a couple of crackers and "cheese like substance".

David quotes Bob Dylan, "We thought we could live forever in funk. Our chances really were a million to one".

I ran my hand over this card several times swearing…

David Stafford: 100% Recycled Mail Art

What do you do when the envelope is as good as the art work?  David has pulled it off again.  Can you see your mail art somewhere in this master piece?

Four earths.  It is not clear if these are recycled stamps, but they are now.

The…

David Stafford: The Diorama from Hell

In the year of the snake, this piece of David's is enigmatic,  intuitive, introspective and refined.  What else would you expect, Kill Bill ?

The master of reptiles & Mail Art  takes on a portait commision where the payment would be his life.  Getting the nose wrong could cost him a limb.

Thank you David.  It makes me giggle.  I know…

This card does not reveal the sender, so I am making a wild guess. I think it is from David Stafford, who's pieces elsewhere are being sold for hundreds and thousands of dollars! He kindly offered to send me something for free.

David Stafford's "A" arrives in Greece

Just in case you were wondering where is was, David's "A" turned up in Greece.  The "A" you see on David's profile photo is from 20 years ago ... ok, lets say 5.  Yes that's it, only five years ago.

Copyrights: Photo by a passer by, I think she was wearing an Eiffel Tower on her head.  Color enhancement by unknown photo editor, which could be the same person, but without an Eiffel Tower on her head.…
